My name is DorLisa Nazario and I am fairly new to the world of Miniature Pinschers, compared to many others that have showed their dedication and love for this breed. Contrary to that being said, I've learned many things within my years of being owned by, researching, observing, exhibiting, caring for, and loving this breed.

I have been actively involved with animals since 1998.

My Goal: My reason for putting together this website was to share information that may prove to be informative for those who seek it. To educate as many people that I can, concerning this breed which is dear to me; The king of toy dogs, the miniature pinscher.

My overall goal is to continue to educate myself, so that I may educate others about the miniature pinscher. I will strive to preserve, enrich, and stay dedicated to this breed.

Love at first sight: I first found my interest in this breed back in 1997. I was riding the elevator in my old apartment building when I saw, what appeared to me to be a miniature Doberman Pinscher---NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! FYI: There is no such thing... If in doubt or just curious to know more, you can visit the History Page thats linked within this site.

I have heard everything from “the Taco Bell dog, the Chihuahua, and is that not a miniature Doberman pinscher? ” Today, every last one of those sayings just sends chills up my spine. However, I realize that the general public is just not informed about this breed. At one time, I was just like the majority, not educated enough about the Miniature Pinscher and if my memory serves me correctly, this was also what the owners' of this dog referred to it as-- a miniature Doberman Pinscher.

If I could, I would like to stop this misrepresentation of the Miniature Pinscher but I know to do so I'd probably have to perform a miracle first. Fortunately for you, here you will be able to learn a lot, all about the Miniature Pinschers.

Why should I browse through Nazir’s Page? To educate yourself about the Miniature Pinscher, if even just a little more. To try to avoid and/or prevent getting burned and all the heart break that comes along with it. To learn how to adopt/purchase your new companion without “aiding” to the problem of many homeless, unwanted animals that suffer daily and the puppy millers that are producing them. Last but certainly not least; to enjoy Nazir's website and observe what is been done to improve, preserve, and enrich the breed.

Need another reason why? Here’s why: Being the inquisitive person that I am; much like my min pin kids, I searched the internet, magazines, read several books, asked many questions, and called different breeders. Once I felt educated enough to take on the responsibility of purchasing my first miniature pinscher, I did. I was so thrilled with my new addition to the family but as he grew I couldn’t help but to feel as though I had been taken for a loop by his breeder. My min pin started to grow into what looked to be more of the standard of a Manchester terrier. I mean this kid was huge; 22 pounds to be exact, without an ounce of excess fat any where. Hmmmm….. Where did I go wrong? I read all the books, asked so many questions, picked what I thought to be the healthiest, cleanest, soundest, and sweetest puppy. I mean the breeder said he was from a “Champion Line”(Hahaha). This pup was no where near the AKC breeds' standards or that of any other club's standard for that matter. Yes, this can happen and does happen far to much!!! I now know that one can never have to much or even enough information. There's never a point where you'd not be able to learn something more. There is not any sufficient reason why someone would have to rush into acquiring a puppy/dog. When I first acquired my first miniature pinscher I wasn’t educated enough to avoid such problems from happening to me, even though at the time I thought that I was. Contrary to that, I couldn’t give up on the breed that I've grown to love so dearly. There was no why that I couldn’t give up on my dream. I just promised myself that I wouldn’t let it happen again. Besides, it wasn’t the breed or the pups that chose to EXPLOIT themselves. I would, from that point forth, lose respect for the uneducated and unethical puppy millers and commercial breeders. I will not support them, in any way, any how, not at any time!!! I have dedicated my time to share information that will inform others how to do the same. I hope that you will find the website interesting, informative, and helpful.
